Further details

  • The project

SAPE contributed to the architectural outfitting of the complex with unique acoustic totems and large COR-TEN steel planters designed to house green areas.

  • ACOUSTIC TOTEMS

The company designed, engineered, and manufactured totems characterized by an elegant oval shape, conceived to house high-end audio systems. This is the perfect synthesis between modern aesthetics and precision engineering: a sculptural visual impact that guarantees uncompromising acoustic performance.

The oval shape was achieved through a meticulous manufacturing process:

    • Geometry: The metal sheets were initially laser-cut to obtain a geometric base of absolute precision and aesthetic care.

    • Curving: Subsequently, CNC rolling gave the sheets and profiles the perfect curve. This control over shaping is crucial to maintain uniform form.

    • Framing: Once finished, all panels and elements are installed on a frame made of metal structural profiles, giving solidity to the product.

  • Material Technologies

The innovation lies in the internal integration, where SAPE’s carpentry becomes invisible to enhance the sound experience:

    • Hidden Supports: Inside the totems, we engineered and installed internal supports made of fire-retardant composite materials. These elements not only guarantee maximum fire safety but also provide the solid and stable base required to support delicate premium audio systems.

    • Acoustically Transparent Fabric: To complete the piece, a special acoustically transparent fabric, specifically designed for this purpose, rests on these supports. This technical detail allows sound to diffuse without obstacles, transforming the totem into a single body of design in step with the latest acoustic technologies.

  • COR-TEN PLANTERS

SAPE handled the creation of a system of COR-TEN steel planters, designed to blend with the context through soft lines and living materials.

  • Material Technologies

The choice of COR-TEN is not just aesthetic: its natural oxidation creates a chromatic dialogue with the building and the vegetation that the basins house, while offering superior resistance to atmospheric agents and minimal maintenance over time.
