STAIRCASE BUILDING FOR ACCESS TO THE CAR PARK

As part of the plan to upgrade Rome’s Termini Station, the company oversaw the construction of the new pedestrian walkway. This structure, the first of two twin structures planned for the project, provides a strategic and essential link between the car park on Via Marsala and the heart of the station.

The complex ‘launch’ phase, i.e. the positioning of the span at height, required advanced logistical organisation to be carried out in complete safety and with minimal impact on railway operations, working both during the day and at night.

The structure is now open to the public, significantly improving the flow and safety of pedestrian and vehicular traffic with direct and protected access. This project demonstrates the company’s expertise in managing critical infrastructure, creating functional solutions that have a direct and positive impact on the daily experience of thousands of users and travellers.

SAPE also oversaw the construction and installation of connecting structures from platform 1 to the car park in Via Marsala, providing a staircase structure and relative covering at the upper landing.

In this context, SAPE’s expertise in sheet metal working added the necessary touch to maintain an aesthetic in line with the vehicular connection, producing specific curved angles to complement what was already present near the structure.
